About the Crochet Hot Water Bottle Cover Pattern
This pattern is great for new crocheters! It uses two simple crochet stitches and it works up so quickly.
The cover fits a hot water bottle approximately 4 ¾ inches by 8 ½ inches but is nice and stretchy if yours is a slightly different size.
I was honoured to be invited to design a project for The Holiday Craft Summit for 2021 and thought that many people must want to know how to crochet a hot water bottle cover. What better for complete beginners to crochet than this quick cover?
Better yet, it’s made with super fluffy yarn so it’s lovely and soft, and the chunky yarn makes it a super fast project!
Yarn
To make this cover, I used Wonderfluff yarn by WeCrochet. This yarn is 70% Baby Alpaca, 7% Merino Wool, 23% Nylon, 142yds/50g.
You will need: 1 ball of Hare Heather.
Tension and Sizing Options
Fits a small hot water bottle 4¾ inches by 8½ inches (12cm by 21.5cm). I only had a little hot water bottle on hand, so I thought a mini hot water cover would be great fun to make!
Tension (gauge) is 10 sts and 11 rows to measure 4x4in over pattern using a US 9/J (6mm) hook, or size needed to obtain correct tension.
